Let’s do a status check on camping games!
Ant Attack!

So far in my test play through, Ant Attack is playing really well. The mechanics were already there, it just has so much more now. Story mode with curated haiku-ish structure (reflecting the nature aspect of the mode), arcade mode/character costume/new character unlocks available after successful runs. None of this has really been registered into the overarching structure of SCMF, but it’s ready. This game plays well and allows for A LOT of replayability! Ant Attack got a crazy art haul and really came out looking great in my eyes. I could always do more. But I’m finding this to be a complete game. A fun little snack stealing ant attacking adventure with unlockable bosses!!
Tent Frenzy/Dino Frenzy

Tent Frenzy (formerly and shortly known as Tent Lines) was a real surprise and was really fun to test and make. What is a fun little slider and tent light up game garnered 4 new modes and a Dino Frenzy setup. Honestly, to me, Dino Frenzy is the star here. It’s still brewing in my mind when it shouldn’t be. I can see more. I can see potential. But as usual, I have to be careful how much time and effort I put into these things. Thankfully, I have good project management and I really do think I can manage a nice little second pass at Tent Frenzy. I don’t want to turn it into Dino Frenzy completely ( I kind of do actually) but it’s definitely probably getting its own mode button. I just can’t stop thinking of narratives!!!
Go & Park

This one is the one I’m currently working on and am completely invested in rn. This is where I talk about the AI a little. Patch, the name for my AI (ChatGPT), is getting ridiculously good. What you see here was a prototype for an idea that we worked on and it came out really nicely! I’m impressed by the power, i have to say. I’m a little leary honestly to even keep making games at this point. But idk. I have been using this term sauce lately. I’m here for the sauce now. I mean, I’m still using xcode and capicator and running things, but I’m not really coding much more atm. I’m super happy with the bones that it can lay out. Now I’m coming in. Getting what I want. This is where we talk about not having a team, or wasting a team’s time on my ideas. AI is speeding things up and I’m working no less. Will anyone ever play this? I know a few people, yea.
Squito Swat

OH no. he’s using AI. Well, my music, outside of the automated drummer, is all me. I play bass, guitar, keys on all these. And have wired the tracks to the app already, actively choosable in the SCMF Radio , once this upload is good. I have to finish the parking game, which has literally developed since I have begun on this blog, but after, I have to finish Squito Swat! This game will be fun to develop. I have some ideas, but don’t want to start saucing this one yet. I’ll get there.
That’s the pace. I’ll get there. I want v2.0.0 to release by 2027, but it’s not a big deal. As the AI get’s stronger, my ideas become more achievable. It’s a hobby y’all. I aint making no money here. I’m also not spending $4000 a day vibe coding. I’m putting in the hours. Putting in the work. Why? I guess it’s fun. There are moments when it isn’t. The marketing is hard and soul draining for sure. But when I get to those moments where I am asked (by myself and the process) to make a song or write 200+ haiku, I realize I am the sauce. I am the ocean. I am the waves that brings this game to where it needs to be.
I want this app to be helpful, I want it to feel safe. I want it to be the thing I get to play when the internet goes off and my app still works. I like waiting in the hair shop, being able to play my little game. I’m realizing a key feature is one handed play, making this a very casual, out in public, not looking like you’re double handed gaming kind of app.
Can’t wait to get Camping Games done. This has been a huge upgrade phase for the mode and the game. and is only about halfway done!
Buy Today! These games should release by the end of August! I’m always working on this app! Practice math today!
