SCMF devBlog: v1.5.0 QuickServe Pavilion Upgraded

“My confidence in my ability to…” Rick Rubin

I can’t remember what else he had to say. I’m sure it was interesting. I’m feeling confident that this app is getting done in very cool ways. As I trudge deeply into an Ant Battle in Kids Mode, I’m looking back as I type this.

QuickServe Pavilion is open for 6 different types of math with easy to hard difficulties, deeply improved animations, and tested across iphone and ipad.

I mean. yea. it’s a little busy, but i promise it all works. You get to unlock five different characters simply for the flavor and rock through 6 modes of math. The mode isn’t like..done done. but its done.

I’ve got a lot more play testing to do on it, but it was really cool to see 5 different sets of chracter png come to life while updating the mode.

That’s what this process has turned into for me.

I went back to familiar channel. I went back to work and a project that I finsihed and realized I could add more to. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

But as I continue to get feedback and build and test, and maybe practice math a little, it seems worthy.

That probably going to be my new angle when i got ot tackle story mode. “Why math, why now?” Well, because math scores are low.

My studies of language have me quickly realizing the different languages that exist in our modern culture. Spoken languages for sure. but MATH language.

the ability to comprehend and send message faster than the speed of light by being there. Tapping the superimposed and entangled particle allows me to send the message of presence, which even on the other end uncomprehended, allows for the presence to be tracked.

It’s here. SnowCone MathFest. The Kids camping mode is my next target and boy is it going well. I thought I only had 3 games, but it turns out I have 4! Mr. Mosquito showed up ftw.

The only trouble rn is the dang transparent art. AI is apparently not great at doing that. It’s also what I need most.

That’s what I liked the most about working on SCMF Simulator, was I was doing all my own artwork to an extent, which created a way more rich universe of assets. But SMCF wasn’t built that way. This app is built to test the AI and build it for speed. I should probably be sponsored at this point by ChatGPT lol. Sad, but true. Then again, some people are far outpacing my production and they would get it way before me. No. That’s okay.

I do this, because it’s fun, but honestly, because I want to build something that might help. I can’t fix the world. But I struggled with math, and I want that struggle to go away for future generations, they just need ways to relate to numbers, maybe learn about the history, which I tried, but didn’t really success in my first story run, can’t wait to get there again; but I digress. I’m really just trying to sell an app right?

I’m putting a $3.99 price tag on something that I’ve spent a lot of time and energy trying to produce. I think that is fair. Technically, the browser version is still online and free to play, I just can’t update it anymore without breaking it. The html, JS, CSS, Xcode capacitor bridge has moved beyond the browser at this point. I’m trying to embrace the only platforms I could get this game self published to: Apple iPhone/iPad iOS.

As stated here before, I think I just develop the crap out of it on these, and then when it’s done, I can transfer it to other platforms. Removing browser expectations from the equation was the best move. It’s those darn stretchable windows…made things very tricky.

Life is tricky.

My game is not.

Math.
