SCMF devBlog: v1.2.5 choose your EMOJI!

I’ve made the decision to hastily upload v1.2.5 as a minor upgrade. But honestly, it is kind of major.

What’s new:

General iPhone layout, audio, haptics, and stability improvements

Cleaner full-screen iOS presentation

Updated startup screen with profile greeting, avatar, and daily streak

New Cone Rank progress feedback

Profile, Cones, Radio, Themes, and Data tabs polished in Options

SnowCone Radio improvements

Shorter, cleaner About/Info screen

Better badge/rank celebration flow

All of it just kind of kept on rolling to the point where I would never want anyone to ever see the app any other way.

the decoupling of the profile and badge screen is small but nice. SnowCone Radio is tested and serves as a legit music player for the festival tunes, huge cosmetic and function upgrades in that tab. The profile tab helped me expand my level system, XP, ranking, and profile system. The user will find a more concise, but ultimately richer profile experience; no matter now how small, it is once again, so much better than before. Other tabs and modals got updated as well and I finally got rid of the status bar updates from the iphone, making this the most immersive SCMF experience yet (while also allowing me to take better screen shots)!

I have some other ideas that I want to implement, like a lot, but I kind of know where I think I’ll go: the high scores truck button tap is due for some flavor updates, maybe a daily task that could dish out some XP..

but that’s the thing. I need to just step away rn. I need to sleep. See this app tomorrow. Check my vision, play it a little, and continue to make changes.

It does seem that I might be able to enter game mode upgrades soon enough, but that could be a july/august timeline. I’m just won’t be sure until I fix the wrapping and the cores.

I always wanted this game to feel special, and for some, it might have fallen flat. I don’t think what I am doing now will change much for those folks, but in my eyes, if they do play it, I want to offer more than what was there on release day, and I have already done that!
