JPS Grooves

I really tried. I really tried to get to a 0.6.4 update—not for anyone else but myself, and for the sake of progress. But man… I tried. And the more I pushed, the more it fell into the cracks and smiled back at me… just a bit moldy and ugly.

Today wasn’t a loss, though. I honestly can’t remember the whole day (classic), but I think I fixed a mute button issue on mobile early on. I tried to work on the parking game, and then I kept looking over at the tent game going,

“You’re not done… are you??”

So I went back there. Through many trials and a few hours of chaos, I can finally say:
🌟 I’m proud of how the tent game plays now.

It taps, it swipes (which wasn’t easy to add), and the icons and praise flash are much bigger and more rewarding now. The most rewarding part? Without a doubt, that beautiful swipe. It feels good. It feels accurate. It feels right. I can’t wait for folks to enjoy that.

And for once, it actually matches what I had envisioned (for this terribly difficult little mode, lol): tap, spam, swipe, twirl—whatever playful motion might keep the young ones curious and giggling. The tent game is a beautiful compromise between what my mind could imagine and what I could actually get to run in the real world.

Then I pivoted back to the parking game!
🚧 Originally a mushroom popper, this game is taking on new life—and bringing all kinds of BS with it, lol.
But overall, I’m in love with the mode. So much so that I added the intro text:

“Here They Come!”

to the park game—and boy did that screw everything up, lol. But I know it’ll be worth it. That reference is pure festival magic to me. It says it all:
Here they come. Let ‘em in.

At the moment, they’re cropped, honking rudely (and silently, since I haven’t made the honks yet), and they reset way too early. What I want is an infinite loop scroll through the cars. The honks are what park them. That’s the whole core—and it’s all coming together.

🧠 Tomorrow, I hope I’ll have the patience to type in prompts Patch can understand.

If I’m lucky, I’ll get this parking game locked up tomorrow.
But who knows… I’m always battling two things:
🎨 Looks (CSS)
🔧 Function (JS)

And sometimes… when I fix one, the other disappears…

Anyway—here’s what I’m starting to realize:
📚 I may try to write a book when this is all done. (i already wrote 4 if you didn’t know: JPSgrooves.com)
I’ve got the blogs. The pictures. The media. The experience. The humor.
I won’t let myself start it until the app is mostly complete…
But this journey? This struggle?
It’s worth writing about.
And hopefully—inspiring you too.
