🎪 Dev Blog: Little By Little — Kids Camping Awakens! 🦖

Well, it’s been a few days, and that’s okay. Life called — and I answered 🍃✨
No need for apologies; this festival lives here in my mind, always humming along in the background like a memory that hasn’t happened yet. ⛺

The other night, though… weird dream vibes. Nightmares that the festival was somehow NSFW (???), which snapped me into a morning cleanup blitz.
So yeah — RIP to the “Mushroom Popper.” 🍄✌️
Long live the Car Parker 🚗 — makes way more sense, and it’s got just the right vibe: still fun, still spamable, and actually fits the camping theme better. For the record, Mushroom Popper wasn’t even my idea (lol), but it was innocent and chaotic in the best way. Still, I know how people’s minds work, and I’m building this thing with clarity and kindness at the core.

🛠️ Kids Mode: Scaling Wars II

This mode’s a beast.
It’s all about scaling right now — not just screen sizes, but ambition.
The layout is alive. The grid is snapping. The UI is holding tight even at ~260px.
I’ve been carving little game frames into the camping zone — what I call my palette of mini-games. They’re not active yet, but the bones are all showing if you’ve been keeping up with the devlogs.

This is the mode you hand your kid when you feel that classic guilt twinge — you know, when you hand them the phone and think “ehhh, is this a good idea?”
In this case? Yeah. It is.
They’ll be punching buttons, matching sliders, parking cars, lighting tents — all in the name of math and focus.
It’s chaos. It’s weird. It’s educational… maybe?
I don’t even know what I’m doing lol — but I do know it should be fun.

🤖 AI Game Builders? Cute.

I keep hearing about all these AI models passing dev tests, making full games
Let me tell you something: they fail miserably at making my game.

This whole project started as an experiment to test the limits of AI — to see if I could jam with it, push it, build with it.
Now? I’ve restarted this thing four or five times. I’m deep in the Vite flow. Got VSCode linked up like a synth rig. And Patch (that’s my co-dev, in case you’re new here) and I just keep moving. One fix, one frame, one mode at a time.

🦕 Meet the DinoDividers

Finally — I can talk about these little dudes!
The DinoDividers are my traffic crew.
They help guide campers into the festival.
They stand at the edge of the known and the unknown with little cones, waving kids into math games like they’re guiding cars into destiny.

And the T-Rex?
Oh man. He knows something.
They all suspect it, but he knows. That’s why he’s stuck in the camping zone. That’s why he doesn’t blink. 👀
There’s a mystery in the woods, I swear it.

🌲 What’s Next?

We build the games inside the games.
More tent logic. More slider fun. More match clicks.
All feeding into the Camping Score, this weird little XP meter that doesn’t even know what it means yet — but it will.

🛸 The Vision

I keep seeing it…
That shimmering moment of v0.9.9 — when dev work is done and all that’s left is polish.
The art. The music. The juice.
The shine.
But right now?
We’re mid-journey. And I love where we are.
Little by little… we move along.

See y’all in the forest,
— Jeremy 🍧 & Patch 🛠️
