I asked ChatGPT to help me write this blog… as I often do. But the truth is, it could never truly grasp what we’ve done here.
Yeah, it helped. It generated the prompts. It cleaned up my rambling thoughts and spun out whole universes of possibility. But what we created? These background images? These neon dreamscapes? These seasonal mythologies and cosmic unlocks? They exist beyond code. Beyond language. They hit on something primal. Primitive. Like if Jung took acid at a synthwave carnival, he might start to understand why they strike the cerebrum like a lightning bolt dipped in raspberry glow.
Fifteen. Count them. Fifteen backgrounds now live in this festival. Each one a distinct tone poem of pixels. Not a list I’ll reveal, but trust me — the variety is there, and the consistency? Finally locked in.
I find it kind of poetic: ChatGPT can create these backgrounds, but it can’t see them. Every time I upload one, it says: “Image received,” but the deeper beauty? The shimmer? The alignment of elements and intention? That’s for the human eye. The soul. The one who beholds.
And behold I did. We got better over time. The compositions got cleaner. The tones more intentional. I developed a style. And in the end, I now have a full collection — a library of visual identities I can use to give players a choice. A vibe. A feeling.
I can finally get back to coding.
And that’s the wildest part of all this: I’ve been talking about code this whole time — but really, I’ve been making art.I’ve had to use my design skills. My aesthetic judgment. My madness. My discipline. And now, the customization initiative is complete.
How will I roll these out?
However. I. Freaking. Want.
Because this is my festival. And I know — without a doubt — I’ll be there when it opens. If it’s good enough for me, others will find their groove in it too.
Menu screens, I’m coming for you.
Tomorrow is a coding day.
Tonight? We celebrate ✨
